So is Polaroid Type 665 gone for good? I used to shoot 665 negs @ ISO 25, peel the neg off early (~10 sec of dev time) and solarize it using a 2K hot light to fairly good effect...


I know I can still do the same thing with Type 55 using a 4x5 (for >$4 per sheet, grumble, grumble), but it was nice to be able to throw the Polaroid pack back on my Hasselblad and work through a session fairly quickly while my models were being paid by the hour.

Anyone else feeling the pain caused by this line being discontinued? Anybody else using this technique? (I picked it up from Michael Grecco's first lighting book, IIRC...)

I had a friend in college who was into polariod processes.. Adorama might have some.
